After the success of the magazine format, in 1995 Planeta de Agostini published the first of the 42 volumes or tankōbon of the original Dragon Ball manga in Spain, written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama.
The original Dragon Ball manga in 42 pocket-sized volumes or tankōbon.
With the volume edition of the Dragon Ball manga, Planeta de Agostini decided to maintain the same number of volumes released in Japan, as well as preserve the original size of the Japanese tankōbon.
For this edition, they preserved the original cover colors.
Unlike the magazine format editions, the White and Red Series, this edition did respect the colors Akira Toriyama used for the covers of the volumes. However, they did not preserve the color pages that were sometimes included in the Japanese manga.
