An "Anime Comic" is a comic whose panels and speech bubbles are taken from original content sourced from Japanese animation products. In the case of Dragon Ball, these Anime Comics come from the movies, OVAs, TV specials, and the anime aired on TV. From these animated versions, some frames are used as panels to create the entire comic.
In Spain, Planeta Cómic is responsible for publishing and distributing these manga comics, and has been doing so since 1997, when DBZ was still airing on Spanish TV. Since then, various collections and editions of everything that has aired on TV and in movies related to Dragon Ball have been released. We have classified these collections into five categories:

This collection includes the 13 Movies and OVAs from the 90's that never became part of the DB canon.
In Spain, Planeta Cómic released two editions of this collection. The first, between 1998 and 2000, is characterized by several factors. First, not all 13 DBZ movies from the 90's are included. Second, 3 movies were split into 2 volumes, and third, they were printed in black and white.
The second edition was released between 2015 and 2020, improving on the first by not splitting any movies, including all of them, and printing them in full color.
Of course, it's worth mentioning that the first edition is not worth it, both due to its quality and the lack of color in its pages, as well as the movies being split into two volumes.

This collection was available for a time, but it has been out of print for years. Taking advantage of the success of the 90's DBZ anime, a comic aimed at children was created, with a lighter and more accessible approach.
Planeta Cómic published it in Spain between 1997 and 1998, in a rectangular magazine format, in full color. However, they never relaunched it. Taking advantage of the fact that Dragon Ball Z was still airing on television, they decided to release the collection by story arcs. The first and only arc published was the Majin Boo arc, along with two specials dedicated to the last DBZ movies of the 90's.
