When we talk about the "other works" that are official but non-canon in the Dragon Ball universe, we refer to any manga or book that is based on Akira Toriyama's original story but is neither the original Dragon Ball nor Super (which are the only ones where the script is by the author of the work).

With this in mind, we need to be clear that, as far as the Dragon Ball franchise is concerned, the only canon (on paper) are the original DB manga and the DB Super manga. And official are all those stories in manga or book form, and other paper products, that carry the DB seal and are approved by Shueisha (the holders of the Dragon Ball paper license).
