The S.H. Figuarts Vegeta, released in 2013 by Tamashii Nations and Bandai, was the tenth release in the collection. It still features a 1.0 body, reusing limbs from its 2011 SSJ version, but introduces an innovation by being the first to include battle armor with shoulder pads and leg guards—a real challenge for its time. Its accessories, such as the ki effect, Scouter, and more, have made it a unique piece despite the years.
Among the details and curiosities of this S.H. Figuarts Vegeta figure, several aspects stand out. It is number 10 in the entire collection, released in 2013, and its design is based on his first appearance in Dragon Ball, specifically in the Saiyan Saga. This is clearly distinguished by his battle armor, which includes shoulder pads and leg guards.
Regarding this last point, as mentioned before, it was the first to include this type of armor, which, on a 1.0 body like the Saiyan Prince’s, was a perfect fit. However, it limited mobility, especially when raising the arms, as the shoulder pads were removable but not articulated.
As for its accessories, there wasn’t much to complain about: it included two hair pieces, one for the Scouter and one for the version without it, along with all the faces compatible with both. It also came with a double ki attack effect with a stand and, as a bonus, the iconic hand destroying the Scouter, allowing you to recreate the famous scene of "It's over 9000!".
As of today (2025), there are several base Vegeta figures that are much better than this one. Additionally, in 2017, an updated version with a 2.0 body was released, greatly improving mobility and design.
Another interesting curiosity is that in 2014, for the SDCC, they released a "Special Color" edition with the original colors of his first appearance in the anime. This means with reddish hair and armor in completely inaccurate tones, a mistake by Toei Animation that was exploited to release special editions of this character.
