The 2015 S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Goku "Super Warrior Awakening Ver." has the honor of being the first in three aspects: it is the first figure in the collection with a 100% 2.0 body, it is also the first figure to include battle damage on its clothes, and lastly, it is the first to feature the current box format (2025).
The 2015 S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Goku "Super Warrior Awakening Ver." is the 25th figure in the collection and holds the honor of being the first in several aspects.
It is the first regular release figure since the 2010 SSJ Gohan, meaning it had restocks over several years, though it is no longer being re-released.
It is also the first to feature the packaging we currently have in 2025, with a white box instead of using the character’s colors, among other differences.
Another pioneering feature of this figure is its 100% 2.0 body, being the first to use the hip articulation system so well hidden that it showcases the 2.0 architecture.
The last pioneering element is that it shows a character with battle damage on his clothes, which was excellently done by Tamashii Nations and would be repeated in several figures in the future. However, no other Goku mold has been made with the half-ripped blue inner shirt.
In 2023, an 'Exclusive Edition' was released, sold at events such as the Tamashii World Tour, among others. This version greatly improved the faces, added battle damage to the skin, included a ki aura effect, and had translucent hair, making it a major upgrade to this figure.
At Listacompletade.com, we recommend this figure if you find it at a good price, and even more so if it's the event edition. However, since the release of the 2023 'Legendary Super Saiyan' figure with a 3.0 body, which also focuses on the battle against Frieza on Namek, this figure only stands out for its slightly different battle damage.
