The Son Goku Super Saiyan 3 figure from 2012 was the sixth release in the S.H. Figuarts collection. As a Tamashii Web Exclusive, it featured a 1.0 body type and included a unique ki accessory. This version reused the body of the 2010 Super Saiyan Goku, but with colors specific to this transformation. Aside from the ki effect, its accessories were rather basic.
This figure has the honor of being the first Goku in Super Saiyan 3 within the collection and is highly valued by completionist collectors, but it must be acknowledged that since its release in 2012, time has not treated it well.
The figure features shading throughout the suit and body to mimic the full-power ki aura, which comes as an exclusive accessory in this version and has never been reused.
The sculpting of the faces is "decent," but the painting and shading make them look terrible, especially when compared to the 2017 version, which is currently the most recommended option—unless a more recent edition is released. Additionally, it only includes two faceplates, which feels quite limited by today's standards.
This figure represents moments from the Majin Buu Saga, with the colors that Akira Toriyama used in the manga, which is why it also includes a halo.
Conclusion: A figure that, nowadays, is not worth it, unless you are a completionist collector.
