The 2015 S.H. Figuarts Golden Frieza is based on the DBZ movie Resurrection 'F'. It features a mold very similar to his final form released in 2013, but with the necessary adaptations for this transformation. It has a quite good finish for being over 10 years old; the downside is its lack of interchangeable accessories.
With this 2015 Golden Frieza figure released as a Collector Shop edition (now the current Tamashii Web Exclusive), the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts collection reached its 24th release.
It was the second figure of this character, and since its 2013 'Final Form' version set high expectations in terms of articulation and accessories, this release was a disappointment for some.
In terms of sculpting, it is almost a clone, but with the necessary adaptations to resemble his 'Golden' form. The articulation was identical, using a 1.5 body, which, to this day, still holds up in both functionality and aesthetics. It has even been reused until 2022 with the latest Frieza figure in his 4th transformation or Formal Final form.
The figure falls short in accessories, as it includes 3 completely new heads but only 2 pairs of symmetrical hands and no feet, which lowers its value considerably.
With this figure, Tamashii Nations and Bandai disregarded the Collector Shop exclusive edition, as in 2019 they re-released this figure as an event exclusive with the 'Event Exclusive Color' label, with the only change being more intense colors.
From Listacompletade.com, we highly recommend this figure despite its lack of accessories, as it is the only version of this villain in his Golden form released to date (2025).
If you want to see more details of the figure, we’ve left a video unboxing from the YouTube channel Distribuidora Animéxico, which showcases it quite well.
